Samsung OLED Killer up for pre-order: Neo QLED price revealed

Samsung's latest 4K and 8K Neo QLED TVs are now available for pre-order, and you can already throw money at them. While we are still waiting for Samsung's new MicroLED TVs to be released, Samsung's latest 4K and 8K TVs are now up on Samsung's website, with pre-order offers.

Samsung's 2021 line of premium 4K TVs can be pre-ordered starting at $1,599 for the 4K model and $3,499 for the 65-inch 8K model.

Samsung's Neo QLED TVs enhance the already impressive Quantum Dot LCD technology with mini LED backlighting, dramatically improving contrast and backlight control. While we have not yet had the opportunity to touch this new TV, we have seen this technology in use before and the difference it makes is huge.

Of the Neo QLED sets available for pre-order, the 8K and 4K models are split 50/50.

The 8K set includes both the higher-end Samsung QN900A Neo QLED 8K Smart TV and the more affordable QN800A Neo QLED 8K model. Both models feature 8K resolution, Samsung's latest video processing technology, and superior sound, but the more premium QN900A also features Samsung's Infinity Screen design, which virtually eliminates the bezel around the QLED panel.

The Samsung QN900A Neo QLED 8K Smart TV is available in 65-, 75-, and 85-inch sizes, starting at $4,999 for the 65-inch option.

The more affordable QN800A model not only has narrow (but noticeable) bezels around the display, but also omits the Object Tracking Sound Pro technology found on the QN900A.

The Samsung QN800A Neo QLED 8K Smart TV, available in 65-, 75-, and 85-inch sizes, is likely to be the most affordable new 8K TV to date, starting at $3,499.

The 4K models cover both the top-of-the-line Samsung QN90A Neo QLED 4K Smart TV, which will replace the QLED TV Q80T in 2020, and the new QN85A Neo QLED 4K Smart TV. The premium QN90A starts at $1,799 for the 55-inch model and comes in 55-, 65-, 75-, and 85-inch sizes.

The Samsung QN85A Neo QLED 4K Smart TV sits between the premium 90 series and the step-down 80 model, seemingly creating a middle line that expands Samsung's premium 4K offerings. The biggest difference is that the QN90A features Samsung's Object Tracking Sound Pro for more immersive audio; HDR performance is better on the QN90A, and Samsung claims a 50% wider color gamut on both.

The Samsung QN85A Neo QLED 4K Smart TV is also available in sizes from 55" to 85", with prices starting at $1,599.

As an incentive for pre-ordering, Samsung is also offering free professional installation service with each pre-order; at $120, it's a great way to save money on installing a new TV.
