It's time for the Nets vs. 76ers live stream, which sees two top Eastern Conference teams clash for the first time since the addition of James Harden's Brooklyn. These two teams faced each a month ago and the Sixers have a lot to improve upon if they want another result in this NBA live stream. But we've had a busy 24 hours, so let's catch up.
On January 7, the Sixers took a full and healthy roster to Brooklyn to face a Nets team that was missing Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant and had not yet acquired former NBA MVP, James Harden. The Sixers lost 122-109. Joe Harris came off the bench to score a game-high 28 points and help give Philly one of its toughest losses of the season.
This time around, the Nets have two of their three stars when they visit Philly. Irving returns from a seven-game suspension and is averaging just under 30 points per game. Harden is averaging a double-double with 24 points and an NBA-leading 11.2 assists per game in nine games with the Nets. Meanwhile, Kevin Durant will reportedly miss his second straight game against the Sixers and fifth game overall due to COVID contact scars.
The Nets' Friday night loss to the Raptors was nothing short of crazy. Durant was removed from the starting lineup. He was then allowed to play late in the first quarter but was removed from the game in the third quarter. This was the result of a contact trace due to COVID-19.
According to a statement from the NBA through Shams Charania of The Athletic, "(Durant) made contact just prior to the game with a person whose test did not result in ...... During the game, the person with whom Durant had contact tested positive. Once the results of that test were confirmed, Durant was removed from the game out of an abundance of caution." The league also confirmed that Durant himself tested negative three times in a 24-hour period.
The Sixers suffered a tough loss to the Blazers without Damian Lillard. The saving grace for the Sixers was Joel Embiid's 37 points. Embiid is the main reason Philadelphia (16-7) is in first place in the East. The Sixers big man is third in the NBA behind Durant at 29.1 ppg.
