The OnePlus Band is coming next Week — What You Need To Know

The idea of OnePlus releasing a wearable has been floating around for several years, but nothing has materialized until now. A recent leak showed off the OnePlus Band fitness tracker, which will be available on January 11.

OnePlus India has begun sending out invitations to the OnePlus Band launch event, which will take place at 11:00 AM local time. The event will be held at 11:00 a.m. local time, which is 12:30 a.m. Japan time.

This is not the first time OnePlus has launched a device exclusively in India. The company has a large presence in India, and so far the OnePlus TV is only available for purchase in India. Why something as simple as a fitness tracker is not being rolled out more widely internationally is unclear, but we can only speculate on what is happening now.

What we do know is that this is definitely not the OnePlus Watch. This is because we have seen leaked images of the OnePlus Band, and it was designed to look very unlike a watch. In fact, it looks almost identical to the Oppo Band that was released in China last July.

Also, the OnePlus Watch is said to be coming after the OnePlus 9, currently expected in mid-March.

The OnePlus band is not a timekeeping device, but is specifically designed to record physical activity. As such, it is leaked to feature heart rate monitoring, IP68 water resistance, 13 different exercise modes, blood oxygen monitoring, and a 14-day battery life.

The OnePlus Band is expected to be priced at 2,499 Indian rupees (about $35). If the OnePlus Band does launch in the U.S., it will not be much cheaper.

We will report on the OnePlus Band as soon as we have more information. Fortunately, we won't have to wait long before we hear all the details.
