With the holiday season fast approaching, there are a few tech-related bargains to be had, especially when it comes to headphones.
One example is the Sony WF-1000XM3, available now on Amazon for $158. That's $72 off the original price, a significant savings of 32% just in time for the holiday season. The Sony WF-1000XM3 sells for £149 on Amazon.
In our Sony WF-1000XM3 review, we declared the earphones to be "a true wireless triumph that manages to combine impressive noise cancellation and stellar sound waves."
Compared to other superior wireless earbuds, such as the Apple AirPods Pro, the earbuds' strong point is undoubtedly sound quality.
Battery life is also competitive, with 6 hours of active noise cancellation (ACN) playback on a single charge or 8 hours without noise cancellation. In typical true wireless fashion, the Sony WF-1000XM3 comes with a charging case good for up to three full cycles, or 18 hours with ANC enabled; a 10-minute charge will provide 90 minutes of listening.
The ANC itself also deserves special attention. Sony's WF-1000XM3 has the best noise cancellation among true wireless buds. It is also surprisingly capable of shutting out ambient noise, even though it is not an over-the-ear type sealed system.
When new, the Sony WF-1000XM3 was $230/£220, which was a reasonable bargain, but still very much in premium territory. At this new, much cheaper price, it is a bargain and easily has a place on our best wireless earphones list.
