The Golden Joystick Awards is one of the biggest events on the gaming calendar, and the 2020 show on Tuesday, November 24 promises to be no different.
Now in its 38th year, the Golden Joystick Awards 2020 will feature a wide range of game categories, from Best Storytelling and Best Game Expansion to Studio of the Year and Ultimate Game of the Year.
The majority of the winners will be chosen by a public vote of millions of game fans, but in a few select categories, winners will be chosen by veteran game critics.
The Golden Joystick Awards can be thought of as a sort of short list of games to play before 2020 is over, or to choose which games to dedicate the holiday season to.
The show will be hosted by Laura Bailey, who voices Abby in The Last of Us Part 2 and Black Widow in Marvel's Avengers, and Travis Willingham, who voices Thor in Marvel's Avengers. Music will also be provided by Harry Mack and Lara6683, who will perform a selection of game music.
Exclusive footage from "The Medium" and "Martha is Dead" can also be expected, as well as cameos and appearances by some of the biggest names in gaming. Here's what you need to know about how to watch the Golden Joystick Awards 2020.
The awards will take place on Tuesday, November 24, starting at 8:30 PM BST, 3:30 PM ET, and 12:30 PM PT.
They will also be streamed live on Twitch, YouTube, Facebook, and GamesRadar, so you can choose where to watch the event. This gives you a lot of freedom to choose where you want to watch the awards take place.
For those who want to participate a bit more, they can also use the #GoldenJoysticks hashtag on Twitter. That way, you can not only follow people's reactions to the winners, but also mix in your own opinions and reactions.
There are 20 categories voted on by the public, covering the most important and interesting elements of the 2020 games. And there are four Critics' Choice Awards, which are expected to highlight the high points in the 2020 games. They are:
