With just over a month to go until the PS5 hits store shelves in November, avid fans are naturally interested in several aspects of the new console. Of particular interest is the DualSense controller, which will replace the DualShock series gamepad when the PS5 arrives.

The latest information on the DualSense controller comes from Argentine peripheral manufacturer Evzen, which posted a detailed image of it up on Instagram. In short, the DualSense controller appears to be littered with various textures and small but interesting touches.

At first glance, it's easy to miss the small, iconic PlayStation symbol adorning every part of the controller. But look closely and you will see it. In particular, they can be seen scattered in a messy manner along the rubber grips of the controller. These are raised and add texture to the back of the controller.

A similar texture can be seen on the analog sticks, but they are not decorated with the PlayStation logo. Instead, there is a flat rubber concave surface surrounded by a ring shaped like a star. The face buttons do not have the same color as the previous buttons, but instead appear to have a transparent sheen over the gray PlayStation icon on each button. The majority of the controller appears matte, but the buttons are glossy.

We can also see a close-up image of the USB-C port near the Sony logo on the controller, as well as the back and sides of the controller. While it could be the coloring of the photos, in most images the DualSense appears to be a straight black-and-white monochrome design, but there appears to be a slight navy tint to the black areas of the controller.

Evzen also took apart the DualSense controller to get a better idea of how it works, posting the most detailed photos of the controller we have yet seen. But aside from this amazingly detailed close-up image, we haven't had much opportunity to get to know the DualSense controller.

What we do know is that the new haptic feedback and "adaptive triggers" will significantly change the way we approach normal tasks in gaming, such as pulling a bowstring or firing a weapon. It should be a unique experience to say the least, and one that will be very different from the various iterations of the DualShock to date.

The PlayStation 5 will be available on November 12 in the United States, Canada, Japan, Mexico, Australia, and South Korea. In the rest of the world, it will be available a week later on November 19. Get ready to get your hands on the PlayStation 5.
