There has been a lot of speculation about when the Xbox Series X games will be shown for the first time, but there is no need to speculate anymore: according to the official Xbox Twitter account, the Inside Xbox event on May 7 will be the first time the Xbox Series X titles The first look at the Xbox Series X title will be shown for the first time at the Inside Xbox event on May 7, according to the official Xbox Twitter account.
It is unclear whether this means that Microsoft is about to reveal its launch lineup or simply demonstrate third-party titles, but either way it will be a world first.
Microsoft tweeted this information at 12 p.m. ET on the 30th. The tweet itself is brief and short:
The most important information is that players will be able to see Xbox Series X gameplay for the first time on May 7 at 11:00 AM ET. This will likely take the form of live streaming, and Microsoft will share the exact link from its Twitter account as the date approaches. Microsoft's Inside Xbox events are typically broadcast on Twitch, YouTube, and the Mixer channel.
The only hint so far is that the most prominent response to the tweet came from Ubisoft's official account. (The message was simply a pair of googly eyes.) Earlier today, Ubisoft released a trailer for its upcoming historical action game "Assassin's Creed Valhalla". The trailer specifically highlighted the Xbox One and Xbox Series X, but the game will also be available on PlayStation and PC.
Therefore, it is almost certain that Microsoft will show off gameplay footage of "Assassin's Creed Valhalla," which, coincidentally, will be the first time players will actually see the new AC game in action. (The trailer consisted entirely of pre-rendered cutscenes.)
The big question, of course, is whether Microsoft will use "Assassin's Creed Valhalla" as an extended demo to showcase everything the Xbox Series X has to offer, or whether "Valhalla" will be a larger showcase, or will "Valhalla" be just a small part of a larger showcase? Judging by the response to Microsoft's tweet, fans seem most excited about the possibility of seeing "Halo Infinite" gameplay. At this time, "Halo Infinite" is slated to be a launch title for the Xbox Series X.
With the cancellation of E3 2020, there is no clear timeline for hardware developers, so Sony and Microsoft are working to ensure that both systems will be available The cancellation of E3 2020 means that Sony and Microsoft are essentially free to schedule announcements at any time up to Holiday 2020, when both systems are scheduled to be released.
Or, as we learned in a surprise blog post about the DualSense controller a few weeks ago, both companies don't have to schedule at all. Sony may be planning a similar game showcase in a few weeks, and recent rumors suggest a June 4 public event.
Tom's Guide will provide more details on Microsoft's event as they are broadcast. Until then, visit our Xbox Series X hub for more information on Microsoft's next-generation gaming console.
