If your Windows machine has an Nvidia graphics card, it's time to patch it up again.
The GPU maker announced last week that there are two serious flaws in the Nvidia display driver software. [The flaws affect GeForce, Quadro, NVS, and Tesla GPUs, but only the GeForce line is widely used by non-professional consumers. The other three defects affect Nvidia vGPU Windows and Linux software used in the enterprise.
To download and install the appropriate software updates for your Nvidia GPU, head to the Nvidia Driver Downloads page and enter your Nvidia product information. If you have a GeForce, driver version 442 We recommend patching up to .50.
If you are not sure what type of Nvida firmware you have, Nvidia has instructions to determine your driver version on Windows. For newer GPUs, you can also use the Nvidia GeForce Experience software.
