It's official: you can now pre-order the Galaxy S20. If you want to be among the first to pre-order the Galaxy S20, you've come to the right place: here's where and how you can pre-order the Galaxy S20, as well as some Galaxy S20 promotions. [It's the 6.2-inch Galaxy S20, the 6.7-inch Galaxy S20 Plus, and the 6.9-inch Galaxy S20 Ultra. All three models feature 5G connectivity, making the Galaxy S20 family the first flagship to fully embrace the new standard.
Pre-orders are now open, but keep in mind that the S20 phones will not be available in stores or online until March 6. Currently, there are a variety of ways to pre-order the Galaxy S20. Here is a list.
Samsung allows customers to pre-order the Galaxy S20 unlocked or via AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, and U.S. Cellular. There are also special pre-orders valid through March 5. For example, if you pre-order now, you will receive a $100 Samsung credit for the Galaxy S20, a $150 Samsung credit for the Galaxy S20 Plus, and a $200 Samsung credit for the Galaxy S20 Ultra.
Meanwhile, consumers who trade in an eligible device (Samsung, Apple, or Google phones only) can also get up to $600 credit toward the purchase of a Galaxy S20 device. The trade-in credit is quite generous, with an iPhone 6s getting $200. (By comparison, the Apple Store iPhone 6s credit is only $80.)
Pre-orders for the Galaxy S20 at Best Buy are slightly more attractive than at Samsung. For example, pre-ordering the Galaxy S20 at Best Buy offers up to an $850 discount. (The discount requires pre-order, activation, and trade-in). In addition, depending on which S20 you reserve, you can get up to $200 in Samsung credits.Keep in mind that Best Buy's trade-in requirements are a bit strict. For example, the oldest iPhone they will accept for trade-in is the iPhone 7.
Consumers considering pre-ordering the Galaxy S20 will face a variety of options at Verizon. Currently, if you purchase a Galaxy S20 Plus or Galaxy S20 Ultra, Verizon will offer a $1,050 credit toward the purchase of another Galaxy S20. In addition, if you choose the Galaxy S20 Plus, you will save an additional $150.
Existing Verizon customers can also save up to $300 on a new Galaxy S20 with a trade-in. This offer is contingent upon having a valid Verizon Unlimited plan. Finally, customers who purchase a Galaxy S20 Plus or S20 Ultra will receive a $200 Samsung credit; the S20 Plus will get a $150 Samsung credit and the S20 Ultra will get the full $200 credit. This deal stacks with all offers.
Meanwhile, the Galaxy S20 is expected to launch in the second quarter of 2020. (An exact date has not yet been set by Verizon.)
AT&T has one of the most attractive Galaxy S20 promotions. Pre-order the Galaxy S20 and subscribe to AT&T Unlimited Extra and AT&T Unlimited Elite and get the Galaxy S20 and Galaxy S20 Plus for free, starting at $200. The requirement is to purchase the phone on an installment plan and trade in an eligible smartphone. Unlimited Extra plans start at $75 per month for one line. It includes unlimited talk, text, and data in the U.S., Mexico, and Canada. It also includes 5G access, standard def streaming, and 15GB of mobile hotspot per line.
AT&T Unlimited Elite, on the other hand, starts at $85/month for a single line, adding HD streaming, 30GB of mobile hotspot per line, and access to HBO.
Like Verizon, T-Mobile is also offering a BOGO deal on Samsung's new phone: pre-order the Galaxy S20 on T-Mobile and receive a $1,000 credit to use toward the purchase of a Galaxy S20 of equal or lesser value. To take advantage of this deal, you must add a new line to your account. If you are already a T-Mobile customer, you will need to add two new lines to your account to receive the BOGO discount.
Customers who wish to pre-order a Galaxy S20 can also save up to $500 on a Galaxy S20 when they trade in an eligible device.
Sprint allows new customers to purchase a Samsung Galaxy S20 for $0 per month. The deal requires an eligible trade-in, an 18-month lease, and a new line contract. Sprint will also provide another Galaxy S20 for free if the customer leases a Galaxy S20.
Wholesaler Sam's Club is one of the first retailers to offer significant discounts on Galaxy S20 pre-orders; Sam's Club members who pre-order and activate a Galaxy S20 smartphone will receive a Sam's Club eGift card worth up to $200 Sam's Club eGift Card up to $200. Pre-orders must be placed by Sunday, March 1 at 11:59 p.m. ET and must be purchased on a two-year installment plan from AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, or U.S. Cellular. $100 eGift Card for Galaxy S20, $100 eGift Card for Galaxy S20 Plus a $150 eGift Card, and the Galaxy S20 Ultra will receive a $200 eGift Card.
Customers who switch to Xfinity Mobile and purchase a Galaxy S20 Plus or Galaxy S20 Ultra will receive $300 off a Galaxy S20 device. existing Xfinity Mobile customers will also receive a $300 receive a $300 prepaid card with the purchase of an S20 Galaxy smartphone.
