February 21 update: Best Buy has sold out of PS5 consoles; the PS5 restocking information page will keep you updated on the availability at each retailer.
Good news for those looking for a PS5, Best Buy now has the PS5 in stock, the PS5 is $499 here and the PS5 Digital is $399 here It has been several weeks since Best Buy has restocked the PS5.
When you click the "Add to Cart" button at Best Buy, you may have to wait a bit before you can add the console to your cart. It is important to wait patiently, as Best Buy is expected to add inventory as it becomes available. Also, if you see a "sold out" message, try opening the link in incognito mode in your browser.
Unfortunately, Best Buy's PS5 restocking event today is likely to be very limited. This means that the console will likely sell out within minutes. Therefore, in order to secure and purchase the console, you will need to act lightning fast. Be sure to monitor your browser tabs, as the tab for the purchase button will return and if you do not act quickly, your console may be confiscated by mistake.
After waiting 15 minutes, I managed to put the console in my cart and purchase it, but was then informed that I would need to pick it up in-store. If the console is not in stock near you, you cannot purchase it.
One thing you can do right now to save time is to create a Best Buy account (if you don't already have one). With your address and credit card information ready, you can check out and finalize your purchase immediately, even if you happen to add a PS5 console to your cart.
