The restocking of the PS5 and Xbox Series X is reportedly a disaster, but thanks to this Amazon trick, you may be one of the lucky few who can complete your order the next time the mega-retailer has them in stock.
The trick is quite simple: use Amazon's wish list feature; simply add the PS5 or Xbox Series X to your wish list (even if it is sold out). Then, when Amazon restocks either console, you add it to your cart directly from your wish list.
Do not try to access the PS5 or Xbox Series X product listings. This is because these pages are constantly flooded with traffic as desperate shoppers compete for minimal inventory. Just go straight to the wish list and click "Add to basket" from there. If possible, try it on multiple devices as well.
Amazon UK dropped stock of the Xbox Series X this morning (March 9), but by performing this trick, I was able to fill my basket four times without issue. When I tried to add the console to my cart from the main product list, I kept getting an error message "This item is unavailable" and was unable to proceed to checkout even once.
Don't worry. We completed the transaction and did not actually purchase four Xbox Series X consoles. However, we have tested it ourselves and recommend this method.
We have only tried this trick directly with Amazon in the UK, but several people on social media have confirmed that this method also works with Amazon in the US.
It is worth noting that this trick by no means guarantees that you will be able to get your hands on these in-demand next-generation machines.
