iPhone14Pro can get the surface ID and trade notch shown below for punch hole

2022 has just begun, but we are already looking ahead to the iPhone 14 launch later in the fall. While Apple is still elated with the launch of the iPhone 13, the company is preparing for the next big thing. That includes the possibility of a radical change to the iPhone 14 Pro phone.

Leaker DylanDKT said on his Twitter page that the iPhone 14 Pro model will feature under-display Face ID technology and may finally do away with the notch. If Dylan is correct, the perforated cutouts will replace the old, worn-out notch and make for a very modern iPhone.

The best Android phones enjoy this beautiful look, with the display taking up almost the entire front of the phone, except for the front camera cutout. In fact, models like the Galaxy S21 Ultra and OnePlus 9 Pro make the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max look ancient by comparison.

Dylan's tweet further states that Face ID moving below the display does not hinder it: "The functionality of these sensors has not been adversely affected by this change." In other words, according to Dylan, Face ID on the iPhone 14 Pro should function the same way as on an iPhone with a notch.

So far, Dylan has proven to be a fairly reliable leaker. He accurately predicted several details of the new MacBook Pro before its launch, and even predicted other Apple-related things.

Other rumors suggest that the hole punch will have a pill-shaped cutout and will be egg-shaped rather than circular. If you want an example, look back at the 2019 Galaxy S10 Plus notch. In that case, Samsung had a large section for the two front-facing cameras. It is unclear if Apple will take a similar route or if they simply need the space for a sensor that does not work well at all from underneath the display.

As it stands, it appears that the non-Pro model of the iPhone 14 may keep the notch. Rumors suggest that Apple will adopt two sizes for the next iPhone: 6.1" iPhone 14, 6.7" iPhone 14 Max, 6.1" iPhone 14 Pro, and 6.7" iPhone 14 Pro Max.

This is consistent with what we have heard about the demise of the mini line This is consistent with what we have heard about the It would also mean that those who love the larger iPhones would not have to purchase the Pro Max model. In fact, respected Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has said that the larger non-Pro models could be under $900.
