Update: In an email to Tom's Guide, a 343 Industries representative confirmed that the team is aware of the issue and is actively working on a fix.
"Halo Infinite" is one of the best Xbox Series X games coming out in 2021, and this new glitch may spoil the experience for some.
Through posts on the Halo Waypoint forum and the game forum resetEra (thanks to IGN), some players have claimed that the bug has corrupted save data in "Halo Infinite," affecting both single-player and multiplayer data They claim that the The bug is present on both the Xbox Series X and PC.
According to user 99humanity on the resetERA forum, they were on the second to last mission of the campaign on PC. As they loaded into the game, the game suddenly went into third-person view and the Master Chief tore through the floor.
According to 99humanity, the problem may have been caused by a login bug, which can confuse Halo Infinite; in 99humanity's case, during login, an Xbox sign-in pop-up appeared and said "Let's Go." The user was prompted to click on the "Let's Go" button. Clicking on this prompt would essentially double sign-in, which could corrupt save files.
According to 99humanity, the double login bug can occur when a user connects a second controller, when a controller is disconnected, when switching from a wired controller to Bluetooth, when logging in with an Xbox and then logging in with a PC, when the same This can occur when using Quick Resume on Xbox while playing another game with multiple users signed in with the account.
One player also uploaded a video detailing his experience.

A user on Reddit posted a similar issue, and there was a temporary workaround on PC. However, that solution no longer appears to work.
Other than what Herb_Farmer_44 posted above, 343 Industries has not acknowledged the issue in a blog post or press release. At this point, we do not know when a solution will be forthcoming. All we can do is wait for 343 Industries to release release notes after the next update.
