Singer-songwriter Billie Eilish has collaborated with Amazon on a limited edition version of the Amazon Echo Studio smart speaker.

The new exterior features the 19-year-old artist's face spread across the beige fabric that wraps the device. Fans will no doubt notice that the shot is taken from the cover of his latest album, titled "Happier Than Ever." [If you're considering a potential gift for a Billy Eilish fanatic, this might be a good idea. That is if you don't mind spending $230, $30 more than the traditional Amazon Echo Studio. The limited edition smart speaker is currently available for pre-order on Amazon and is expected to ship in October, although no specific date has been given.

But don't get too excited just yet. Unfortunately, the Billie Eilish Echo Studio does not feature the artist's voice, and you cannot talk to the AI version of Billy like you can with regular Alexa. In other words, the scope of this collaboration applies only to the exterior.

However, according to The Verge, Amazon has stated that a special Billy Eilish alarm is coming soon. The good news is that all Echo users, regardless of whether their device is a limited edition or not, will one day take advantage of this feature.

In particular, this model has all the same internal features as the standard Echo Studio; in our review of the Amazon Echo Studio, we were impressed with the bass, overall sound, and reasonable pricing of the device. In fact, we even named the device the best sounding of all of Amazon's Alexa speakers. The speaker automatically adjusts its acoustic characteristics to the room in which it is installed.

Another perk of getting this Billie Eilish smart speaker is that it comes with six months of free access to Amazon Music. This applies to those with existing subscriptions as well.

This marks the first time Amazon will collaborate with a celebrity on one of its Echo speakers. While we have not seen any design changes regarding the standard Alexa speaker, we have already seen panda and tiger-themed Echo devices designed for children. This also suggests that more collaborations will take place in the future, so we may eventually see celebrity faces on the best Alexa speakers.
