Don't get your hopes up for "Marvel's Wolverine. Sony announced the game at the 2021 PlayStation Showcase in September. In a blog post at that time, Insomniac stated that work on the story and gameplay was underway, but that it was "in the early stages of development."
Insomniac is working on another game, Marvel's Spider-Man 2, whose sequel will be released in 2023. Therefore, fans will likely have to wait even longer to play Wolverine.

In this trailer, a man is drinking alone in a nearly full dive bar when a man with a knife approaches from behind. As the would-be assailant approaches, the man at the bar extends a pair of claws between his fists, and his identity is soon revealed. That's all there is to it, but it was certainly enough to get the fans excited.
Given Insomniac's recent track record and Spider-Man games, "Marvel's Wolverine" is likely to be a single-player action-adventure game, though the studio has yet to confirm this. However, the studio claims that the game will feature "cutting-edge gameplay."
Insomniac said that while it will find ways to freshen up Wolverine and infuse it with its own spirit, similar to how it handled Spider-Man, it will "respect the DNA that makes the character so popular. With that in mind, it looks like the angry Canadian mutant will be taking down waves of enemies while advancing his own story, protecting those in need of help.
With Insomniac's last few films in mind, it would not be surprising if Wolverine has a skill tree with a variety of unlockable abilities and customizable stats and costumes.
Insomniac has yet to reveal any details about Wolverine's plot. However, they did reveal that a key member of the creative team for Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales is leading the game's production. Brian Horton is the creative director and Cameron Christian is the game director. Miles Morales" was a solid, emotionally engaging story, and we hope to see a similar development in "The Wolverine."

It is possible that Sony will bring Wolverine to PC, as it has done with several first-party games over the past year or so. However, don't hold your breath, as neither of Insomniac's Spider-Man games have been released on Windows yet.
As for Marvel's Wolverine, we will know more about it before its release, which is likely several years away.
