The Patriots vs. Giants live stream is almost here and it has a wealth of stories to follow. This NFL live stream has the classic case of teacher versus student on the sideline and the quarterback battle to settle on the field.
Last week, Giants head coach Joe Judge held a joint practice at St. Joe's Prep in Philadelphia with the man who beat him out for the starting quarterback job in high school. That "man" was Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski. And now Judge will meet for the first time, albeit in the preseason, with Patriots head coach Bill Belichick, who gave him his first NFL job in 2012.
The two sides were able to hold joint practices this week. The Giants are coming off a week in Cleveland with the Browns, while the Patriots are coming off a week in Philadelphia with the Eagles. The Patriots are coming off a 35-0 win over the Eagles. The Giants did not fare well in the "dog pound," losing 17-12 to the Browns, bringing their preseason record to 0-2. However, it looks like the Giants will be given a helping hand.
Daniel Jones, New York's number one quarterback, is expected to make his preseason debut on Sunday. Judge said earlier in the week that Jones would play the first half and possibly part of the third quarter. Mike Glennon has handled the majority of the Giants' snaps this preseason.
As the Giants get their number one signal caller back on the field, the Patriots may have taken a big step forward Wednesday in trying to figure out who their QB1 will be. Cam Newton has started both games so far in New England, but missed the first three days of joint practice with the Giants because he was placed in the COVID protocol. According to a Patriots press release, Newton will "undergo five days of induction procedures before returning to the facility" after traveling outside the New England area. While Newton is only allowed to participate in virtual team activities through Wednesday, rookie first-round pick Mack Jones is turning heads in actual team activities; the 15th overall pick in April's draft has the Giants' secondary at his disposal, and a good performance on Sunday would He reportedly could clinch the Pats' starting job if he performs well on Sunday.
The Giants host the Patriots as 3.5-point home underdogs. The over/under is 35.5.
