Fans of colorful technology will have to wait for MacBook Air 2022 Reports that Apple is developing a new iMac-inspired MacBook Air are not about a model to be released this year, a new report from a venerable industry A new report from an analyst suggests that it is not about a model to be released this year. It also appears to have some similarities to the upcoming MacBook Pro.
The news comes from a research note by analyst Ming-Chi Kuo obtained by 9to5Mac, in which Kuo says a new MacBook Air will arrive in mid-2022. The model will come in "several color options," including the iMac 2021 (available in green, yellow, orange, pink, purple, blue, and silver), the iPad Air 2020 (silver, space gray, rose gold, green, and sky blue), or the two possible matches.
The MacBook Air 2022 will also feature a mini LED display, which has already debuted on the 12.9-inch iPad Pro 2021 and is rumored to be included in the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro 2021 updates we have long expected Apparently.
The new MacBook Air is also said to have a "form factor design" that will be "similar" to those upcoming MacBook Pros. This could mean the end of the iconic tapered-edge MacBook Air design. Of course, Apple could find a way to have both features in one laptop.
Kuo writes that it is unclear whether the current M1 MacBook Air will remain in Apple's lineup.
Bloomberg's Mark Gurman recently reported a large amount of news about the upcoming MacBook Air. Supposedly, Apple is working on a "high-end version" of the 2020 MacBook Air with M1, which will feature the return of MagSafe to the MacBook Air. Apple is also working on a 15-inch MacBook Air, but it is not expected to happen in this next generation.
The Apple Silicon M2 chip has recently been leaked as pending for 2022 and will be included in this upcoming MacBook Air; the M1X chip is expected to appear in Pro-branded Macs this fall.
