It's time to watch Rick and Morty Season 5 Episode 7. Clues and hints from the preview clip and title suggest that R&M's brain trust will be as corrupt as ever, if not more so. Fasten your seatbelts, folks.
That's because it appears that either Dan Harmon or Justin Roland have been watching the classic anime series Neon Genesis Evangelion. And if they do it the way they always do, this will probably be the hardest episode to watch ever. Including that thing earlier this season where Morty accidentally made space semen.
Episode 7, titled "Gotron Geraisis Rick Vangelion," may seem like a simple poke at the anime world of giant robots if you've never seen Evangelion. But if you listen to the twangy, guitar-driven narration, you will know that they are definitely trying to play with the Evangelion series' tastes.
But, AdultSwim, if Morty really "sucks" in this episode (and you know what I mean), you are really going to test the viewer's willingness to put up with the gross elements. That said, at least one Rick and Morty fan is probably already super excited about this episode.
Next week we have "Rickternal Friendshine of the Spotless Mort," which hopefully won't erase episode 7 from memory. Then "Forgetting Sarick Mortshall" and finally "Rickmurai Jack" will close out the season.

If you are out of town and Rick and Morty is not available in your current location, you don't have to let geofence limitations get in the way. But with the help of a virtual private network (VPN), you can watch new episodes live wherever you are.
Our pick for best VPN is ExpressVPN because it meets all of your VPN needs, is easy to use, offers fast Internet speeds, and is easy to set up for streaming. It also works with virtually any device, including iOS and Android, as well as streaming devices such as Amazon Fire TV Stick and Apple TV. Additionally, it can be used on gaming consoles such as PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Using VPN is surprisingly simple.
1. Install the VPN of your choice. As we have mentioned, ExpressVPN is our favorite.
2. select the location you want to connect to with the VPN app. For example, if you are in the US and want to see UK services, select UK from the list.
3. Sit back and enjoy the action. Go to your favorite website or streaming service and tune in.
Rick and Morty Season 5 Episode 7 airs today (Sunday, August 1) at 11 p.m. ET on Cartoon Network, during the Adult Swim after-hours block of programming. You can watch the new episodes at adultswim.com as long as you are logged into your cable TV.
Those who have already turned off cable TV can watch Rick and Morty on several live TV streaming services, including Sling TV, Hulu + Live TV, YouTube TV, and AT&T TV Now.
Of these options, we recommend Sling TV. However, YouTube TV offers a cloud DVR with unlimited storage and is intended for time-shifted viewers who do not need to watch live; AT&T TV Now is not recommended; and Sling TV is not recommended.
There is some good news. Unlike previous seasons, Channel 4's E4 is airing Rick and Morty Season 5 Episode 7 on the same day as the US, for free.
Anyone traveling abroad from the UK can get this stream for free using a VPN such as ExpressVPN. All you have to do is log in, enter your information, and select the region you live in if you want it to look like you are streaming "from where you are."
If you are in Canada, you can watch Season 5 Episode 7 of Rick and Morty at the same time as people in the US, 11pm EST.
You'll need the STACKTV channel, but fortunately it's available on the Amazon Prime Video channel. Americans visiting their neighbors in the Northland should use ExpressVPN to watch live on services they already pay for.
If you have pay cable, you can catch up with Rick and Morty by logging onto the Adult Swim website and using your pay TV username and password. It is also available on HBO Max and Hulu.
Rick and Morty is also available on Amazon Video, with each season starting at $15.
