It's almost time for the live coverage of the men's individual all-around gymnastics competition. Team USA's Brodie Malone and Sam Mikulak will fight for medals. The individual all-around is one of the gymnastics events at the Tokyo Olympics. The athletes will compete on six apparatuses: floor exercise, pommel horse, stationary rings, vault, parallel bars, and horizontal bar.
Mikulak is competing in her third Olympic Games; she is also a bronze medalist at the 2018 World Championships. Malone is a newcomer who won at the U.S. Olympic Trials.
They will face strong competition from around the world, including Japan's Kohei Uchimura, the reigning overall champion of the 2012 and 2016 Olympics. And then there's Arthur Daroyan of the Republic of China, a silver medalist at the 2019 World Championships who is returning from an Achilles tendon injury.
