Falcon and Winter Soldier Season 2: Everything We Know So Far

Falcon and Winter Soldier Season 2: Everything We Know So Far

It is very uncertain whether a season two of Falcon and Winter Soldier will actually happen, but these characters will definitely live on. One, of course, under a different name. For those of you who watched the finale of [Falcon and the Winter Soldier], we assume you're ready to sound the spoiler warning horn with us and dive into what we know about Sam and Bucky's next adventure.

In Season 1, Sebastian Stan returns as Bucky Barnes, aka The Winter Soldier, a role he has played since the first "Captain America" film. He has been through hell and back, becoming a super-soldier assassin and being unbrainwashed in Wakanda.

And now he has teamed up (reluctantly) with Sam Wilson, aka Falcon, whom he first met in "Captain America: The Winter Soldier," to hunt down the rebel group Flag Smasher and now fight former Captain America John Walker.

It's a lot of story, and could spin out into a second season or even multiple seasons. But Marvel likes to keep their hands to themselves, so much so that even Stan isn't sure if the show will last.

The best news for those hoping for Falcon & Winter Solider Season 2 is that Disney has submitted the show for an Emmy nomination; unlike WandaVision, which was submitted as a limited series, Disney submitted as a drama series.

Next, take a look at the title card for the "Falcon and the Winter Soldier" finale: Captain America and the Winter Soldier. Seems like a new title for a new season, doesn't it?

But it is not a confirmation of renewal, as was the "stamp" on Loki season 2. So we wait.

But what's the reason for not renewing it, The Hollywood Reporter reports that "Captain America 4" is in production, and that "Falcon & Winter Soldier" The news is that Malcolm Spellman, showrunner of "Falcon & Winter Soldier," is helming the project. Could this film replace "Falcon & Winter Soldier" S2?

Further tea-breaking, when Collider asked Stan if he had heard of any plans for "Falcon & Winter Soldier" Season 2, Stan replied, "No, I haven't heard. As always, I don't really know what the next step is. I really don't know. Robert Downey Jr. may have known, but I don't know."

This is consistent with what other Marvel actors have said before. Paul Bettany revealed that he thought he was going to be fired in a meeting with Kevin Feige, but in fact the Marvel boss wanted to tell him about Wanda Vision.

Nevertheless, Stan has already told Feige that if "Falcon" and "Winter Soldier" Season 2 come to fruition, he is fully on board. I just got off the phone with him and he said, "Hey, can you tell me to go swim underwater? I don't care about that. Or if this is the case, my heart is just as big."

If there is a season two of Falcon and Winter Soldier, its release date is likely to be quite some time away. Production will take time, but Disney Plus is hungry for as many Marvel shows as it can get its hands on, which is expected to be late 2023 to mid-2024.

Someone could die in Falcon and Winter Soldier episode 6, but Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) and Bucky Barnes (Stan) will stay around. And now that the mystery of the Power Broker is solved, it is Sharon Carter (Emily VanCamp), but how long will it be before Sam and Bucky find out? The second season could revolve around stopping her in Madripur and Washington.

Of course, USA Agents John Walker (Wyatt Russell) and Contessa Valentina Allegra de Fontaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) are likely to continue beyond the first season of Falcon and Winter Solider. As for Baron Zimo (Daniel Brühl)? He may be freed from his imprisonment in Wakanda, but it is up in the air.
