After the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 Ti was released in May, everyone knew it would be very difficult to find where to buy one. Even with price fluctuations due to China's crypto mining crackdown, the cards continue to be bought up by duffers selling the GPUs at inflated prices. Fortunately, Nvidia and Bethesda are addressing this problem. Both Nvidia and Bethesda have teamed up to sell Doom Eternal-themed 3080 Ti bundles. Included with the card is an exclusive titanium Slayer collectible minifigure, an exclusive Doom Eternal-GeForce RTX T-shirt in titanium, and an exclusive Doom Eternal: The Ancient Gods oversized 15.75" x 35.44" mouse pad, Bethesda dustacredit of $100. All this can be had for $1,450.
Unfortunately, this bundle is limited to 300 people in a drawing. To be entered into the drawing, entries must be received by 11:59 p.m. EST on July 7. Entrants need only enter their first name, last name, and e-mail address. Because little information is required, there is a possibility that people will abuse the system and apply multiple times.
Winners will be drawn at random on July 8. Winners will have 48 hours after notification to complete their orders via the link sent to them. If the winner does not complete the order within 48 hours, the right will be forfeited and given to someone else. The email system tends to mark contests as spam, so please check your spam folder between July 8 and 10 to see if you have won.
Doom Eternal is already optimized for the PC; even with cards like the RTX 2060, the game runs very well. Additionally, the game is also available on Nintendo Switch; Nvidia released a video a few weeks ago showing how Doom Eternal looks when run at 4K on an RTX 3080 Ti. Needless to say, the realistic natural light effects and cartoonish violence blend well together.
