Update: Walmart has sold out of PS5 restocks and Xbox Series X restocks. If you are still looking for a PS5, please see Sony Direct's PS5 restocking information.
Walmart has a huge price drop on PS5s right now. They also have the Xbox Series X in stock. This is a double restocking that we have not seen at Walmart in weeks. This is the same day (same time) as the PS5 restocking at Sony Direct.
Walmart now has stand-alone inventory of all four models. (PS5, PS5 Digital, Xbox Series X|S). Landing pages for each console are currently available, but they are selling out very quickly. The PS5 page, for example, has a price of $1,093 from a third-party retailer. Needless to say, stay away from these overpriced third-party retailers. Keep checking the product page for restocks, as Wal-Mart tends to update restocks every 10 to 15 minutes.
First, if you do not have a Walmart.com account, create one. Enter your address and credit card information so that you can immediately check out any game consoles you purchase. You will also want to know the correct landing page to purchase the PS5 at Walmart (link above).
Once the console is on sale at Walmart, you will need to act with lightning speed to secure and purchase the console. It is worth noting, however, that Walmart tends to release inventory every 10 minutes. So if you don't get a console the first time, try again and again. Restocking can last from one to three hours. So it is in your best interest to persist and keep trying.
Many people report that they were able to get a PS5 by adding it to their shopping list. To do this, sign into your Walmart account and go to Walmart's PS5 product page. Click on the "Add to List" icon below the image of the console. You will then be prompted to enter a name for your wish list.
The next time Walmart restocks the PS5, you should be able to use the wish list to add the console to your cart (instead of going to the product page and waiting for the inventory to appear). Again, this method may vary from person to person, but it has worked in the past.
