The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It begins in a very unusual way. A young man with empty eyes walks down the street.
He is stopped by a police officer, who notices that his shirt and hands are quite bloody. 'Looks like he hurt somebody,' he says. And that is enough of a story to put Ed and Lorraine Warren in court, where Ed presses the room to "accept the existence of the devil."
Ed and Lorraine go in search of the evil spirit, and on their way, night falls in broad daylight. Also, a waterbed develops a leak. One townspeople blames it on a "Satanist master."
