If you own an Eufy security camera and wish to continue using it, the company recommends the following:

"I use Eufy to monitor my daughter's room. Tonight I logged into the app and now have full access to the security system of someone in another country. I can see the streams from all their cameras, turn the lights on/off, and access HomeBase settings. Contact details including email addresses are displayed in my app. I try to log out and log back in but it stays the same. The live chat feature on the app just guides me to a useless bot and I can't even call Eufy because it's nighttime now"

In addition to security cameras, Eufy makes smart locks, smart lights, robotic vacuum cleaners, video doorbells, and numerous other inexpensive smart home devices.
According to MacRumors, the issue does not appear to affect Eufy owners who set up their products using Apple's HomeKit Secure Video, which stores feeds in iCloud rather than Eufy's servers.
