Xbox Game Pass may be updated: Conan Exiles and Maneater added, Kingdom Hearts Leaves

Every month titles come and go from the Xbox Game Pass, and May is no exception. This time, however, despite at least one new title appearing before the month is out, it's hard to shake the feeling that what we lose is a little more substantial than what we get in return. Xbox Game Pass subscribers can look forward to the end of May to the cult favorites " Conan Exiles" and "Maneater," as well as the all-new competitive multiplayer title "Knockout City." But this is also your last chance to play the sprawling "Kingdom Hearts" series.

This information comes from the official Xbox Wire blog, where community lead Megan Spurr has revealed 15 new games coming to Xbox Game Pass, seven games that will support touch controls, five games that will add new DLC packs, new rewards for 4 games that will be added, 2 games that will have new Xbox Game Pass quests, and 6 games that will be discontinued.

Perhaps the biggest news here is that Xbox Game Pass will no longer host the "Kingdom Hearts" series. For years, fans could play the confusingly named "Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 Remix" or "Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue. Not to mention the very complicated history of "Kingdom Hearts," these remastered versions include most of the "Kingdom Hearts" series, with the exception of "Kingdom Hearts III" and a few handheld spin-offs.

This is probably the exact opposite of what those who were hoping for "Kingdom Hearts" wanted to hear. After all, the series was only released on PC a few months ago. Therefore, it is possible that Xbox Game Pass bundled the PC version of the game with the subscription service. Perhaps they will do so in the future. Nevertheless, if you want to play Kingdom Hearts, now is the time to do so; you won't be able to finish playing the entire series before the distribution ends on the 31st, but at least you can decide if you like the games enough to buy them outright.

The selection of new games focuses on indie and mid-budget games like The Wild At Heart (a beautiful adventure/strategy game that should appeal to "Pikmin" fans) and MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries and is no doubt a bit thin on the ground.

However, two fan favorites exist and are described: "Conan Exiles" and "Maneater. The former is a multiplayer survival game set in Robert E. Howard's beloved Hyborian era. The latter is an unusual "shark PG" that combines open-world exploration, character building, and giant sharks.

Besides that, it's worth checking out the blog post to see if there are any other fascinating new releases. Personally, I recommend playing "SpellForce 3: Soul Harvest" on PC. Not necessarily because it's a great game, but because it will appeal to a very particular type of RPG/RTS fan.
