Microsoft has once again partnered with Spotify to upgrade its Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription, the most comprehensive and expensive plan in the Xbox Game Pass, and subscribers will get four months of Spotify Premium free access to Spotify Premium.
This benefit includes all downloadable songs, ad-free listening, unlimited skipping, and more.
Those with existing Spotify Premium subscriptions will unfortunately not get 4 months free. This free period is also shorter than the six months of Spotify Premium access that Microsoft previously bundled with Game Pass. Still, if you haven't tried Spotify Premium yet, it would be a nice little bonus that would make you hesitate to pay $499 for the Xbox Series X.
To claim the benefit, head to the Perks gallery in the Xbox Game Pass app on console, Windows, or mobile; select the Spotify Premium benefit and open the direct link to Spotify or the QR code that appears with your phone's camera. Scan it, and from there you can take advantage of four months of free rewards. [Previous perks have included Display Plus, Postmates Unlimited, Discord Nitro, and Funimation Premium Plus.
Major games added to Xbox Game Pass this month are FIFA 21 and Red Dead Online, with more games and DLC coming on May 13, including Just Cause 4: Reloaded and Psychonauts Spotify Premium In addition to four months free, this month's Ultimate Class Rewards will offer Apex Legends weapon charms and the NBA 2K21 MyTEAM bundle.
