Nvidia GeForce RTX3050Ti Laptop Graphics Specs Leaked — Things to know

The Nvidia RTX 30 series has never had an entry-level graphics card model, but that may soon change with the GeForce RTX 3050 Ti laptop GPU.

As VideoCardz discovered, someone posted a laptop with a GeForce RTX 3050 Ti to the public GPU-Z database, revealing all the card's specs in the process. As expected, these numbers indicate that the GPU is designed for affordable gaming power on 1080p screens.

The RTX 3050 Ti laptop GPU with 4GB of GDDR6 memory was apparently tested as part of a laptop manufactured by Taiwanese manufacturer Clevo. The card is listed with a base clock of 1,222 MHz and a boost clock of 1,485 MHz, unsurprisingly the slowest of the RTX 30 series to date. By comparison, the notebook version of the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 has 6GB of GDDR6 and a boostable clock speed of up to 1,703MHz.

The leak also confirms earlier reports that both the RTX 3050 Ti and its even lower sibling, the RTX 3050, will use the new Nvidia GA107 graphics processor. This GPU is rumored to have 2,560 CUDA cores, the same number listed in the GPU-Z report. [These cores will help boost ray tracing performance on everything from the RTX 3060 to the powerful Nvidia GeForce RTX 3090, the predecessor to the RTX 3050 series, the GTX 1650 and GTX 1650 Ti, at a time when ray tracing was generally The GTX 1650 and GTX 1650 Ti did not include an RT core, as ray tracing was not generally considered a concern for budget buyers at the time. [However, with the RTX 30 series, ray tracing performance has improved significantly, so expect to see ray tracing on the least expensive cards. nvidia's use of the RTX brand instead of GTX may suggest a direction for these entry-level GPUs Perhaps.

However, this leak only covers the mobile version of the RTX 3050 Ti, not the RTX 3050. For now, Nvidia's focus seems to be on new high-end cards like the RTX 3080 Ti and RTX 3070 Ti, so even if a RTX 3050 variant is not too far off, its launch is expected to be quieter.
