We often hear that a phone is unique in a way, and in the case of the OnePlus Nord LE, this is indeed the case.
This custom Nord was just introduced to the world on the OnePlus Forum and looks radiant in its eye-catching orange and green color scheme. Want to be the owner of this true one-off model? Because OnePlus is giving this one away.
As designer and product manager Andy Liu explains in a blog post, the "LE" in the Nord LE's name stands for "Literally Only One Edition."
Other than the colors, everything is identical to the original OnePlus Nord introduced last year, with a 90Hz display, 30W fast charging, a Snapdragon 765G chipset with 5G support, quad rear cameras, and dual front cameras. This is an adequate feature set for a mid-range phone. [However, there is no mention of memory capacity; the Nord is available in an 8GB RAM and 128GB storage version and a 12GB/256GB version, and OnePlus has not revealed which package this model comes in.
The main difference is in the design. The back has a gradient that flows from orange to green and a smooth finish instead of the glossy body of the original model; OnePlus posted a video on Instagram that shows it in motion.
If you want to own this singular phone, you can win it in a giveaway campaign. The entry format is simple: follow the OnePlus Nord Instagram account and post a photo of your current phone on the grid with a description of why you want to upgrade to the OnePlus Nord, tagged #SwitchToNord. Also, you must be at least 18 years old to enter, so if you are a minor, find an adult who understands why you have this OnePlus.
This is a pretty neat prize for a marketing stunt. If you're spotted carrying this around, you're sure to get jealous stares from cell phone fans, and even your non-techie friends won't be able to help but notice the unique color scheme. I don't see any mention of a closing date for the giveaway, but if you want to enter, it would be best to do so now.
Of course, if you live in the UK, you can purchase the OnePlus Nord for £399. US customers will have to choose between the OnePlus Nord N10 5G or the OnePlus Nord N100. However, the N10 5G is still a good phone and is on our best 5G phones list thanks to its low price and impressive specs.
If you're upset that your only chance to get this color on your phone is to beat the odds and win the giveaway, you may need to petition OnePlus to offer it on the OnePlus Nord 2.
We don't know much about OnePlus' next mid-ranger yet, other than the fact that it will appear this year. However, it appears to be the successor to the Nord N10 in the OnePlus 9 style shape, and we expect it to offer the same mix of premium and budget features at a competitive price.
