Elon Musk is always trying to push forward with something, and it seems that he currently has two things on his mind: the cryptocurrency Dogecoin and the invite-only audio app Clubhouse.
Musk has already made RobinHood CEO Vladimir Tenev and has already brought Clubhouse to the public's attention thanks to his interview with RobinHood, but it seems he has even grander plans with the great Vladimir, namely Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Musk, being the man he is, sent Putin an invitation via Twitter, asking the Russian leader to join the conversation on the Clubhouse app.
Musk did not include details, and Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters that the request was "interesting" but that Musk needed to provide more details. [According to Reuters, spokesman Peskov said, "First of all, we would like you to understand that President Putin does not use social networks directly and does not operate them personally. In general, this is a very interesting proposal, but first you need to understand what is being said, what is being proposed."
World leaders usually have real jobs and can't just drop everything and have a conversation with a billionaire. They can't just call him when they feel like it and chat for an hour about whatever pops into their heads.
There definitely needs to be some back-and-forth between Mask and the Kremlin to outline what is to be discussed and what is not to be discussed. Russian national security is a good example; Putin will not be interrogated about all the dubious things he is accused of doing.
In the meantime, there must be many more with whom the mask can talk. Apparently, Kanye West has agreed to participate in Mask's Clubhouse talk. Given the amount of publicity about Mask and the clubhouse, one can imagine people lining up to attend.
