After nearly a year of buzz, "Everything Everything Everything All at Once" is on the precipice of winning an Academy Award. The film leads all nominees for the 2023 Academy Awards with 11 nominations, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actress for Michelle Yeoh, Best Supporting Actress for Ke Hui Quan, and Best Supporting Actress for Jamie Lee Curtis and Stephanie Hsu.

The film is about a very strange journey through the multiverse, but it was not produced by Marvel. Instead, this little indie film stars Michelle Yeoh as a laundromat owner who gets pulled into an insane adventure involving parallel realities. The film is a mashup of genres and tones ranging from Hong Kong martial arts films to science fiction to comedy.

Yeoh plays Evelyn Wang, who starts out as an ordinary woman leading a very normal life. However, she discovers from another version of her husband that an alternate reality exists and that she is the key to saving everyone from destruction. Evelyn must learn to harness her newfound powers to confront the would-be destroyer of the multiverse, another version of her daughter, Joy. Ultimately, the genre fades away, revealing what this story truly means: love.

The film has been a favorite since its debut at South by Southwest in March 2022. It has won numerous awards, including Best Picture at the Critics' Choice Awards.
