Samsung Galaxy Tab S9Ultra could be launched with Samsung Unpacked - What We Know

The wait for the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 tablet line may soon be over, as both the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Plus and Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra appear to have been certified. [Nashville Chatter (via GSMArena) reports that it has discovered certification of model numbers related to the aforementioned tablets in the TUV Rheinland database. Specifically, the Galaxy Tab S9 Plus model numbers are SM-X816B, SM-X810, and SM-X816N, while the Ultra model numbers are SM-X916B, SM-X910, and SM-X916N.

Interestingly, each tablet has three model numbers. As reported by sibling site TechRadar, each tablet in the list has a 5G model, a Wi-Fi model, and a Korean model. This is the same as the Galaxy Tab S8 Plus and Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra, which have Wi-Fi and 5G options. Another aspect carried over to the new models, according to the listing, is 45W fast charging.

According to various sources, Samsung will hold its annual Unpacked event on July 26, where it is expected to announce the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5. If the Galaxy Tab S9 tablet mentioned in this article has indeed been certified, it is not unreasonable to expect that the new slates will also be announced at Samsung's Unpacked. As for when these devices will be released, it is reported that it could be late 2023.

As always, such reports are best taken with a grain of salt. That said, don't be surprised if Samsung's next-generation tablet appears this year. Based on what we have seen, the Galaxy Tab S9 series will feature a design similar to the Tab S8 slate. Rumors suggest that some Tab S9 models will feature the same Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip found in the Galaxy S23.

If things go as reported, this could be a wall-to-wall announcement at Samsung Unpacked. We will keep you updated as more information becomes available.
