With less than three months until the launch of the new iPhone 15, the rumors are heating up. The latest? What color is the iPhone 15 expected to be revealed by Tim Cook?
According to a tweet over the weekend from famed leaker @VnchocoTaco, also known as "ShrimpApplePro," the next iPhone will come in at least six colors, Midnight, Starlight, Green, Yellow, Pink and Product (RED).
The tweet shows what appears to be a screenshot of a Weibo chat and a FOXCONN employee badge. This alone does not provide any evidence, but the leak from @VNchocoTaco regarding the iPhone 14 Pro turned out to be mostly correct.
If true, it would mark the return of the green iPhone last seen in iPhone 13 and the disappearance of the blue iPhone for the first time since iPhone 11. The tweet also leaves room for a seventh color, and does not state that there will be more than six.
This is the third rumor pointing to a green iPhone, with a "crimson" color reportedly joining the mint colorway. The tweet also appears to confirm a leak from April of this year that suggested the iPhone 15 would come in a new color along with a matte design.
Apple has begun experimenting more with additional iPhone colors to attract new buyers or spark upgrade interest. In recent years, Apple has introduced light blue and purple options while maintaining neutral colors. And this spring we saw a yellow iPhone 14 model.
