Apple Vision Pro Production at "Full Speed," Apple Eyes February Launch

When will the Apple Vision Pro be released? The company has officially put the date as "early 2024," but leaked information has put it as both January and March. Now, however, we have more definitive information that the product will be launched somewhere in the middle.

Bloomberg reports that production of the Apple Vision Pro has been ramped up in earnest in recent weeks and will be available in retail stores in February.

Yes, we know that it could have been released earlier, specifically in January. But with the goal of having the first units ready by the end of the month, it is clear that February is the sweet spot for a full retail launch.

According to Garman, Apple's Chinese factory has been "running at full capacity" for several weeks. Of course, not everything is necessarily smooth sailing, and the report notes that "last-minute production hiccups and other issues" could affect the launch date.

But that's why Apple has been so publicly tight-lipped about the release date, which makes sense given that this is a new category for the Cupertino crew. If you are charging $3,500 for a product, you want to make sure it is the right one.

Given the Vision Pro's ultra-high price tag, Apple would not fit in with a run-of-the-mill sales experience. Garman therefore reiterated many of the reports we have seen about the specialized sales experience that customers receive.

Staff will undergo two days of training to provide a "carefully planned" walk-through and setup process for the headsets.
