Today's live stream of Command vs. the Cowboys sees another opportunity for Dallas to knock off a sub-.500 team. And if there's one thing Dak and the "Dem Boys" have proven this season, it's that they don't just beat bad teams, they take them apart. Now, Sam Howell and the Commanders will do their best to avoid becoming the Cowboys' latest victims on this Thanksgiving Day NFL live stream.
Washington (4-7) is in the midst of a strange, struggle-filled season. In one version of command football this year, they managed to take the NFL-leading Eagles to the wire in two of their losses this season, including an overtime loss in Week 4 at Philly.
And in another version, they lost to Giants backup quarterback Tyrod Taylor in Week 7 and again to the Giants last week, this time under center for New York's third-string quarterback, Tommy DeVito. For Washington fans trying to enjoy Thanksgiving, they can only hope that a better brand of command football will roll into Dallas for this matchup.
Meanwhile, the Cowboys (7-3) are coming off another big win, a 33-10 victory over the Panthers in Carolina. Overall, the Cowboys are in first place in the NFL with the Ravens by plus-127 points, and this win was their sixth double-digit win of the season.
Much of this is thanks to quarterback Dak Prescott, who is on pace for his third 30-touchdown season. He is also within reach of a new career record for passer rating. Prescott currently ranks fourth in the NFL with a passer rating of 104.0 and has not surpassed a passer rating of 104.9 in the past seven seasons.
But while Dak is putting together a career year, Dallas' defense should not be overlooked. Not only have they stopped touchdowns this season, but they have also scored historic touchdowns.
Cornerback Daron Brand is currently tied for the league lead with six interceptions and is also tied for the most pick-sixes in a season. Last week against the Panthers, he intercepted Bryce Young and returned it 30 yards for a score, tying him with Eric Allen, Jim Carney, and Ken Houston for the most in the NFL. Fortunately for Brand, he has seven more games to challenge the new league record. His opponent, Sam Howell, is the quarterback with 12 interceptions, tied with Josh Allen for the most this season.
DraftKings has the Cowboys as a 13-point favorite against the Commanders, with the over/under at 48 points. Dallas is 32-22-1 overall in Thanksgiving Day games, so it may be a mistake to bet against them this week.
