The next Disney Plus Premiere Access film is now available for pre-order. Pre-pay now for "Raya and the Last Dragon" and get access to the new animated feature premiering on Disney Plus on March 5.
Disney Plus Premiere Access debuted last fall with the premiere of Mulan. This feature allows Disney to market the film through streaming services (to Amazon, Apple, and Fandango Now) to Disney Plus subscribers.
With many theaters closed or restricted due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Disney made the decision to release "Raya and the Last Dragon" through Premier Access. Not all Disney films are headed to premiere access. For example, "The Black Widow" is still scheduled for a May 7 release. However, the family-friendly nature of "Raya and the Last Dragon" makes more sense to release it on Disney Plus.
And there is another way to release the film in 2021, as Warner Bros. is releasing a large number of major theatrical films on HBO Max. Furthermore, users will not have to pay any additional fees; HBO Max costs $14.99 per month, more than double the $6.99 Disney Plus.
The protagonist of "Raya and the Last Dragon" is a fearless and passionate warrior princess (voiced by Kelly Marie Tran) who lives in a land where humans and dragons once lived together until monsters made them extinct. When the last dragon is on the brink of extinction, Raya embarks on a mission to save Sis (Awkwafina).
Pre-order "Raya and the Last Dragon" on Disney Plus for $30. This one-time price is on top of the $6.99 monthly Disney Plus fee.

Once you purchase "Raya and the Last Dragon" through Disney Premier Access, you will no longer be able to "own" or "rent" the film in the usual way. Instead, you will have access to "Raya and the Last Dragon" for as long as your Disney Premier Access is active.
All Disney Plus subscribers will have regular access to "Raya and the Last Dragon" on June 4.
