Ever since the PS5 and Xbox Series X were released, people have been asking which of the two consoles is better.
The Xbox Series X can run games at native 4K resolution and 60 fps, while the PS5 is capped at 1800p and features lower quality shadows. However, the PS5 maintains a solid frame rate throughout.
This was found by Digital Foundry, which measured game performance on both consoles. As a result, the site found the Xbox Series X to be visually superior.
There is no doubt that the Xbox Series X's success is due to its more powerful hardware; the Xbox Series S was limited to 1080p and 60 fps. However, the previous generation consoles were 30 fps, with the exception of the PS4 Pro, which was 60 fps. This is apparently due to what developer IO Interactive described as "frame interpolation options."
Overall, it is not the biggest difference in the world, and I would not recommend that PS5 owners replace their consoles just for this game. Especially since the Xbox Series X performs poorly on many launch titles compared to the PS5.
Of course, with this news regarding the performance of "Hitman 3" on the console, the Xbox Series X seems to be regaining momentum. While things won't change overnight in a hurry, as time goes on, more and more titles should gain a slight graphical advantage on Microsoft's consoles.
Nevertheless, with such a small difference, there is no reason to stick with any particular console.
