The latest leak of the Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro comes from major retailer Staples, whose Canadian site has posted details of the wireless earbuds ahead of the official launch.
The less-secretly named "Samsung Galaxy Attic" is said to be priced at CA$264 for the Galaxy Buds Pro. This works out to about $207 in US dollar terms, not taking into account regional tax differences, but alluding to earlier rumors of a suggested retail price of $200 in the US.
While the $200 price tag would be the most expensive headphones yet for Samsung, as it would further undercut even many of the best wireless earbuds, Staples' listing suggests they will not be completely overpriced.
And while it was not necessary at this point, the listing also confirms some details we have seen in previous leaks. These include active noise cancellation (ANC) with ambient sound mode, 5 hours of battery life on a single charge, and a dual speaker design that combines an 11mm woofer and 6.5mm tweeter.
IPX7 water resistance has also been reaffirmed, and the Galaxy Buds Pro should be able to be submerged in shallow water for 30 minutes. Therefore, a little rain or sweat should not be a problem. The weight of the Galaxy Buds Pro is not listed, but the dimensions are 2 x 2 x 1.1 inches.
Finally, the listing includes official images of the Galaxy Buds Pro in three colors (violet, black, and silver).
Staples lists the Galaxy Buds Pro as sold out, so it is not yet available for actual purchase or pre-order; the Galaxy Buds Pro will be announced at the Galaxy Unpacked event on January 14, along with the Samsung Galaxy S21 at the Galaxy Unpacked event on January 14.
Pre-orders for the Galaxy Buds Pro and Galaxy S21 will begin on the same day, with the former possibly being a pre-order bonus for the Galaxy S21 Ultra; the Galaxy Unpacked 2021 viewing instructions are as follows.
