[Put on your cardigan, Betty: TS9 is hot. Taylor Swift's new album Evermore is now available on streaming services. What better way to celebrate her (almost) 31st birthday than with a new record? Yes, Taylor is proving that two shocking new albums can be released in one year.

On the morning of December 10, Swift shocked fans with a surprise album announcement. The big star first teased the potential for big news by posting nine images to Instagram over a four-minute period; the full set of nine images would be combined to reveal the album art.

Then at 9:04 a.m. ET, she officially announced, "I am pleased to tell you that my ninth studio album, and sister to Folklore, will be released tonight at midnight Eastern. It's titled 'Evermore.'"

As she said, this is the sibling disc to her July record, Folklore. Swift said the following about the process of making this album. To put it more poetically, I feel like we were standing on the edge of a folklore forest and we had a choice to make, to turn back or to journey deeper into this musical forest. We chose to wander further into the depths.

Swifties have already sensed that the album's release two days before her 31st birthday means something to her. As Swift tweeted, "Ever since I was 13, I've been looking forward to turning 31.

The album's release coincided with the release of the first video from "Evermore." Swift posted that the video for "willow" would be released at midnight upon the album's release. She also said she plans to interact with fans, posting, "See you all on the YouTube premiere page chat before midnight to answer some questions."

Through her social media posts, Swift revealed the album's full track listing, guests, and some of the staff. Familiar guests include Bon Iver, The National (his guitarist Aaron Dessner helped produce "Folklore"), and the band Haim.

Swift has also tweeted that Jack Antonoff, William Bowery (aka Swift's boyfriend Joe Alwyn), Aaron Dessner, and Justin Vernon were among her collaborators in the songwriting process.

The standard edition of Evermore contains 15 songs, while the deluxe edition includes two bonus tracks: "right where you left me" and "it's time to go."
