Prime Day is in the spotlight this week, but don't count Target out of the game just yet. The bricks-and-mortar retailer is selling all kinds of consumer electronics for Deal Days, including headphones.
One example: Target is selling Beats Studio3 wireless over-ear noise-canceling headphones for $199.99. That's 43% off the regular price of $349, a savings of $150. This sale ends Wednesday, so don't delay.
Our review of the Beats Studio3 found it to offer everything one could want in a premium set of wireless Bluetooth headphones. They are comfortable, offer decent active noise cancellation, and provide a clean sound profile. They are especially great for listening to EDM and hip-hop, with a real sense of bass loss.
Outside of bass-driven music, we found the tuning to be less than optimal; with the Beats Studio3, guitars and vocals sounded a bit overprocessed, as did more subtle background vocals, sound effects, and lighter instrumental sounds.
The Studio3's active noise cancellation helped reduce the low droning sound of outdoor construction, but certain sounds were still audible. So while the performance is good, it is not on par with competitors such as the Bose QuietComfort 35 II.
That said, the Beats Studio3 is a solid pair of wireless noise-canceling earphones, and at this price, we would not hesitate to recommend them.
