The first wave of Prime Day sales has arrived and it's a great time to buy a new gaming monitor, and if you have a gaming PC with an Nvidia card optimized for 1080p output, the Acer Predator XB271H is worth a look. It delivers vibrant colors and smooth frame rates and is usually priced at $499.
However, we are currently offering the Acer Predator 27-inch 1080p gaming monitor for $395.43. That's a $104 discount and the lowest price to date.
The Acer XB271H is definitely one of the best gaming monitors if you have a gaming PC with an Nvidia card optimized for 1080p output. In our review of the very similar Acer B270H, we noted how this 27-inch gaming monitor features great colors, a bright screen, and an adjustable configuration. If you want to purchase this device as a second screen, it can be oriented vertically for easier access to documents. You can also tilt the screen back and forth and easily run wires around its smooth base.
A big draw of this monitor is its G-Sync feature, which smooths out the frame rate of PCs with Nvidia graphics cards. Still, if you have an AMD graphics card, the monitor works fine, making it an appropriate choice for those with older or less capable gaming rigs that have nothing that can be called a high-quality monitor. [Of course, the XB271H is not perfect; it lacks many additional features and modes, relying instead on a somewhat clunky interface to adjust various image options. On the other hand, it has a number of USB ports, allowing for easy pass-through of wires for peripherals you don't want to consign to the back of your PC. It also offers flexibility in how you connect, as you can connect devices via DisplayPort or HDMI
At $499, the Acer XB271H is quite expensive for a 1080p monitor, but its $395 sale price makes it an easy buy. Amazon's inventory seems to be quite limited, and there's no telling how long this sale will last, so grab it while you can.
