The new S Series monitors, which come in a wide range of sizes from 27" to 32", feature a sleek new design that drops the basic black to a clean-looking platinum silver finish.
These S Series monitors offer more than just a striking appearance. Packed with features like built-in speakers and AMD FreeSync technology, the new S Series promises to be a great choice for home entertainment and general productivity.
Our top recommendation is the Dell 32 Curved 4K Monitor (S3221QS), which offers a large 4K display with a curved panel for immersion and improved visibility. The monitor also features a height-adjustable stand and tilt adjustment, and can be mounted on a wall or monitor arm using a 100 x 100 mm VESA mount.
The most impressive aspect of the S3221QS, aside from its 4K resolution, is its 99% sRGB and 90% DCI-P3 color gamut. the Dell 32 Curved 4K Monitor (S3221QS) will be available on August 20 and will retail for $499.
One step down is the Dell 27 4K Monitor (S2721QS), which has a standard flat-panel and widescreen design, but still boasts 4K resolution and adds HDR support for more vibrant colors and rich contrast.
The S2721QS has a pair of 3W speakers for audio enjoyment. The 27-inch IPS panel promises great clarity and a 99% sRGB color gamut, making it the perfect monitor for a variety of office and home applications. It should be a great choice for a variety of office and home applications.
The 27" monitor is available in two versions, a fixed stand model (S2721Q) and an adjustable S2721QS with height adjustment, tilt, swivel, and even a pivot that turns 90°. This allows the user to switch between landscape and portrait orientation.
The two monitors will be available on August 20, with the fixed-position S2721Q selling for $419 and the adjustable S2721QS for $449.
The third member of the S Series is the Dell 27 QHD monitor (S2721DS), which drops the resolution to QHD (2560 x 1440) rather than 4K, but otherwise offers many of the same features and performance. The monitor's design features three ultra-slim bezels around the display and a subtle textured pattern on the back of the monitor enclosure; like the 4K model, it has 99% sRGB coverage and a built-in 3-watt speaker. It should also perform well as a casual gaming monitor, thanks to its 75 Hz frame rate and AMD FreeSync for tear-free gaming.
Dell's 27-inch QHD monitors come in two models, the fixed-position S2721D for $319 and an adjustable model (S2721DS) for $349 that offers height, tilt, and swivel adjustments along with screen rotation. Like the other members of the Dell S Series line, the Dell 27 QHD monitor (S2721DS) will be available on August 20.
