We've heard next to nothing about "Halo Infinite," let alone actually play it, but apparently Microsoft is planning a sequel to the Xbox Series X game.
According to a tweet from someone who identifies himself as Klobrille, who works at Xbox Game Studios, 343 Industries, the developer of the "Halo" series since "Halo 4," is developing a "new project in the Halo universe" for its "Core Services team." They are looking for a Senior Producer."
Naturally, there is not a shred of information that tells us what the "Halo" series after "Halo Infinite" will be like. like the "Halo Wars" series. It could be a real-time strategy game like the "Halo Wars" series.
Or it could be a direct sequel to "Halo Infinite". It could also be a completely different "Halo" game that looks at the "Halo" universe from a different angle or perspective. Or it could be a remastering of the current "Halo" series for the Xbox Series X, putting the power of the console into a much older set of games. [And if 343 Industries can succeed with "Halo Infinite" and break away from the features and design of "Halo 5: Guardians" to create something fresh, more games in the "Halo" series would certainly be welcome.
But before we can speculate on what a new "Halo" game might look like, we need to see a follow-up to "Halo Infinite". So far, all we've seen are two trailers that don't reveal much about the game; expect to see more during Microsoft's exclusive event scheduled for July.
From what we know so far, "Halo Infinite" will utilize the more open environments of "Halo Combat Evolved" and "Halo 3," and we expect to see different action every time we play it.Halo Infinite is expected to be an Xbox Series X launch title, so we will know for sure at the end of the year
