If you're wondering how to get your hands on the "Last Dance Jordan 5 Fire Red" sneaker, there's good news. Nike will re-release the iconic sneaker on Saturday, May 2 at 10 a.m. ET/PT. While it will be next to impossible to purchase, here's what you need to know about how to get your hands on the last-dance Jordan 5 Fire Red sneaker.
Originally released in 1990, the Air Jordan 5 was the sneaker that basketball legend Michael Jordan wore on the court on March 28, 1990. The date is significant because Jordan scored a career-high 69 points that night against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Nike surprised sneakerheads around the world by re-releasing these retro sneakers during the premiere of EPSN's Last Dance. (Hence, they are sometimes referred to as the Last Dance Jordan 5 Fire Red sneakers.) They sold out in seconds, but Nike is giving collectors another chance at scoring these sneakers.
The Jordan 5 Fire Red sneakers will go on sale Saturday, May 2 at 10 a.m. ET via the Nike Snkrs app. The sneakers will retail for $200. In addition, big kid sizes will sell for $140, little kid sizes for $80, and toddler sizes for $60. All are expected to sell out quickly.
Other retailers will also sell Jordan 5 Fire Red sneakers, but aside from the Nike Snkrs app, it is not yet known which retailers will have them.
