We could be seeing a refreshed MacBook Pro 2020 next month.
Jon Prosser of Front Page Tech (via AppleInsider) made this claim in a recent Twitter post, code-naming Apple's new laptop J223. Prosser also apparently said that at some point in June He said that we can expect more information about the MacBook Pro at Apple's WWDC event, which will be held online.
Last year we saw the 16-inch MacBook Pro virtually replace the 15-inch model, and we also abandoned the Butterfly Keyboard in favor of the better Magic Keyboard. Notably, the Magic Keyboard is also found on the new MacBook Air.
Prosser's prediction is consistent with one made by Ming-Chi Kuo in early March; Kuo also claims that this new MacBook Pro could feature a mini-LED display, but this upgrade may come later. Mini LEDs are a screen technology that, like OLED displays, can provide deeper blacks and superior contrast.
Kuo predicted that such a MacBook model could appear anytime between 2020 and 2021, noting that the coronavirus pandemic that has disrupted some technology production would not affect Apple's production of mini LED displays ...
