Everyone is eagerly awaiting the release date of the PS5, which has led to a lot of speculation. The latest rumor surfaced on Reddit and was reported by Inverse.
Citing a Reddit post that includes a screenshot of the now-deleted Pastebin entry, Inverse claims that we will know PS5 release date information on Thursday, February 27 at 2 pm (5 pm Eastern). And while I have no doubt that people will be accessing Sony and PlayStation social media during that time frame and hitting refresh after refresh until their devices crash, I don't think it's warranted.
I suspect this because based on the Reddit post linking to the Pastebin upload claiming the above date, no one knows any other details about what the Pastebin file linked to by Redditor BorisBritva666 contains. The Pastebin file has since been deleted, and the Reddit post contains only a screenshot of the above information.
BorisBritva666 has no track record as a proven leaker, and anyone can upload anything to Pastebin. It's a repository of text with free accounts, much like you would run an article by a Twitter user named JimmyJaaaack37 and trust their tweets about when the CIA will reveal the truth about the Kennedy assassination.
Oh, and you don't even need a Pastebin file for this screenshot in the Reddit post; I'm not here to discredit BorisBritva666, but if you right-click anything in Chrome and select Inspect Element, you see You can edit anything you want in the page.
