Dell is ringing in the New Year with up to $350 off the XPS 13 ultraportable with a Comet Lake CPU.
As part of the sale, the 256GB model Dell XPS 13 (7390) is available for $1,099.99 directly from Dell. Previously priced at $1,199.99, this is a generous $100 off, making it one of the lowest prices for this excellent laptop. It is also one of the most affordable laptops available today. [The XPS 13 on sale has a 13.3" 1080p display, Core i5-10210U CPU, 8GB of RAM, and 256GB SSD. (Other XPS 13 configurations are also on sale for $50 to $350 off.)
Our review of the Dell XP3 13 impressed us with its slim, attractive chassis and comfortable keyboard; we rated it 4 stars out of 5 and gave it an Editor's Choice award.
As for design, the Dell XPS 13 looks great wherever it is placed. The laptop's lid and undercarriage are made of aluminum-colored platinum silver. A shiny Dell emblem is engraved in the center of the lid, but there is no other decoration (nor would there be a need for it).
At 2.7 pounds, the XPS 13 fits in any backpack, messenger bag, or even a purse; it is lighter than the Razer Blade Stealth, HP Spectre x360, and Apple's MacBook Air.
On the port side, the Dell XPS 13 can accommodate a multitude of peripherals. It has two Thunderbolt 3 ports with power delivery, DisplayPort, USB-C 3.1, a microSD card reader, and a headset jack.
Despite being such a slim laptop, the XPS 13 has an island-shaped backlit keyboard with large keys. As for the battery, you can expect it to last at least 10 hours on a full charge with daily computing.
Simply put, the very popular XPS 13 is a great all-around laptop that remains the best machine for the money.
