One of the best features of Windows is the ability to switch tabs using the Alt+Tab shortcut. This is a feature that has been around since Windows 8. With the new Windows 11 update, this shortcut is much easier on the eyes and improves productivity.
Those who have enrolled in the Windows Insider Program can try out the updated look of the shortcut in Build 22526, which is available for download and installation now. This feature will be part of Sun Valley 2, the first major update to Windows 11 in 2022; as TechRadar notes, the released version of Windows 11 was codenamed Sun Valley.
As you can see in the image above, pressing Alt+Tab brings up a small window that displays the open windows. This has happened before, but the main difference now is that the background around the window is blurred. This shortcut works exactly the same as before, but the blurred background makes it aesthetically more pleasing.
Microsoft has stated that an update to this shortcut is still in progress. This means that further improvements may be made until Sun Valley 2 is released in May. This update will probably be released around the time of the first anniversary of Windows 11's initial release.
In previous versions of Windows, I rarely used the Alt+Tab shortcut. With this update, I will be able to incorporate it into my usual routine. Many other Windows 11 users will feel the same way.
