The OnePlus 10 will launch with Qualcomm's powerful new chipset Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, according to a person in the know, co-founder of the handset maker.
Pete Lau, who co-founded OnePlus and is now chief product officer of OnePlus' parent company Oppo, took to Chinese social networking site Weibo to Snapdragon 8 Gen 1.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset debuted earlier this week, and it didn't take long for manufacturers to start unveiling phones that will use this new system-on-chip. So far, five companies have revealed that their future flagships will use this chipset: the Xiaomi 12 series Xiamoi, Motorola with the Motorola Edge X30, Realme with the Realme GT 2 Pro, and Oppo with the Oppo Find X4 The following are.

OnePlus has not shared a specific release date for the OnePlus 10, but one leaker expects the phone to launch in China in January or February 2022, with other regions by mid-year. This is a departure from OnePlus' usual approach, where flagship phones are typically launched on a global scale.
