The launch of AirPod Pro2 has just begun for 2022 Q3

Apple's rumored AirPods Pro 2 could be released in Q3 2022.

This is according to regular Twitter tech tipster @FrontTron, who previously claimed supply chain sources, correcting an earlier tweet that said the next-generation AirPods Pro would be released as early as Q2 2022, confidently noted that the new release date would essentially be next fall.

This rumor is partially consistent with predictions by Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo and regular tipster and Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman.

We would place a very strong bet on the next-generation iPhone appearing in the fall of 2022, probably in September, when the iPhone 13 is announced; we would not be surprised if the AirPods Pro 2 is shown alongside the iPhone, and we would not be surprised if the AirPods Pro 2 is shown in the same month as the iPhone 13.

And given that Apple recently unveiled the AirPods 3, it makes sense to wait a year before taking cover on another wireless earphone.

One thing to expect from the AirPods Pro 3 in 12 months would be an evolution of the current AirPods Pro, with a sleeker design. Presumably, the stem will be shorter and the active noise canceling features will be enhanced. However, such features are common in some of the best noise-canceling earbuds, so Apple may want to do something a little different.

Some tipsters say that the next generation AirPods Pro will include more health-focused features such as skin detection sensors and fitness tracking capabilities; since the Air Pods Pro has an accelerometer, it is possible that Apple will incorporated and used in conjunction with software and other sensors to better collect health and wellness data is not that big a step.

It would not be a big stretch to expect Apple to have tuned the software alongside the hardware features. Perhaps they will make better use of spatial audio features to help the AirPods Pro 2 be branded "professional."

While we wait for 2022 to arrive, we may be interested in new wireless earbuds.
