Outside of India vs. Pakistan, the live stream of England vs. Australia is about as big as it gets in the T20 World Cup 2021. These two teams have been rivals for centuries, and nothing is more fun than racking up bragging points.
It's a different game, of course, and in T20 cricket England has the upper hand (in Test cricket, it's a whole different matter, to say the least). In fact, England's only fear ahead of this crucial matchup may be that they have yet to be truly tested.
The two victories against Bangladesh and West Indies were both achieved with minimal fuss, and on each occasion the bowling performances were superb, but the batsmen have not yet had to step up. In fact, some hardly played at all. Notable Liam Livingstone played two balls and captain Eoin Morgan played only seven. None of the bowlers, other than Mohn Ali, have batted.
Therefore, they could be playing a simmering Australian side that is playing much better than their 6th place world ranking would suggest. Furthermore, Davey Warner, who loves to beat the Poms, is coming on at just the right time, hitting 65 from 42 balls against Bangladesh last time out.
And then there is the Australian bowling attack. Many English batsmen have nightmares about playing Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood, and Pat Cummins in any format. They also remove Mitchell Marsh and bring in spinner Ashton Agar here. England makes no changes.
England win the toss and bowl. The lineup is as follows:
England Jason Roy, Jos Buttler (wk), Dawid Malan, Jonny Barebow, Eoin Morgan (c), Liam Livingstone, Moeen Ali, Chris Woakes, Chris Jordan, Adil Rashid, Timar Mills
Australia David Warner, Aaron Finch (c), Glenn Maxwell, Stephen Smith, Marcus Stoinis, Matthew Wade (wk), Ashton Agar, Pat Cummins, Mitchell Stark, Adam Zampa and Josh Hazlewood
